The Clothes We Keep
Why the pieces that last tell the best stories—and how I’m designing for the long haul.
There’s something significantly special about clothes that stand the test of time. Not the fleeting trends or disposable wear-it-once pieces, but the ones that truly last. The ones that soften and fade and tell a story about who you are and how you live your life.
I’ve always been obsessed with this kind of clothing—the kind that gets better with every wear. The kind of pieces that work hard, feel good, and hold meaning. It’s why I’m fixated on fibres and weaves, why I care so much about materials like denim and leather. A perfectly faded pair of jeans, a leather jacket that creases in your elbow, shoes that carry the imprint of your stride—these are the memories of your life that your clothing holds on to.
The Perfect Pair of Jeans
When I couldn’t find jeans that fit the bill—ones that were truly built to last—I decided to make them myself. My jeans are the best because that’s what I wanted for myself: the best fit, the best fabric, and the best longevity.
Every pair is made from 100% cotton denim, chosen for its ability to mold to your body and age beautifully over time. They don’t rely on stretch or shortcuts to fit; instead, they’re designed with meticulous attention to pattern making and detail. They might feel snug at first, but trust me—these jeans will become yours in a way no other pair ever has.
This is the kind of clothing I want to make: pieces that feel essential, timeless, and built to go the distance.
What We’ve Forgotten
Somewhere along the way, we lost this connection to our clothes. Fast fashion taught us to see them as disposable, but that came at a cost. We forgot the joy of owning something you love so much that you wear it into the ground. We forgot how leather darkens and scuffs in ways that make it uniquely yours. Or how denim fades into the exact outline of your life.
This is what I’m chasing in the pieces I make. Clothing that feels personal, intimate, and intentional.
Why I Don’t F*ck Around
If you’ve ever been in my shop, you’ve probably heard me say, "I don’t f*ck around." And it’s true—I don’t. I care deeply about what I make. Everything I design is built to last, to work hard for the person who wears it, and to hold its place in their wardrobe for years.
For me, it’s not just about creating something to sell. It’s about making something you’ll live in. Something you’ll love. Something that will still be there for you long after the next trend fades away.
So here’s to the clothes that work harder, live longer, and mean more. And here’s to the stories they tell.
